I am a native English speaker from the United States. I grew up in Colorado, completed a master's degree in Seattle, and worked in New York for 8 years. I taught English literature in Seattle and then worked in finance and law in New York. I moved to Tokyo in 2009.

I am enjoying the experience of teaching students through IHCWAY very much. I particularly enjoy that students are at various levels of ability and have various reasons for wanting to improve their English language skills. IHCWAY students are always pleasant, friendly, and eager to learn. Each student focuses on aspects of the laguage that they are most interested in and each student can meet at flexible times and learn at a flexible pace to match his/her schedule.

Having studied other languages and working currently on learning Japanese, I can sympathize with students' experiences and understand well the difficulties and keys to progressing in a foreign language.

I look forward to meeting new students and rcommend IHCWAY to learners of all levels and backgrounds.
