"Doerte (Germany): German
Teaching location: Kawasaki

I am very lucky that I found IHCWAY. It's such an easy system where you can start teaching students on the same day you introduce yourself. IHCWAY finds students for you at the place you want to teach them. You don't have to do anything except to be a great teacher of your language. The students are very enthusiastic and because of that the IHCWAY lessons are a lot of fun. At the beginning I start with a little small talk. The student tells me about his/her last week (normally I see a student once a week) and asks me questions about mine as well. Afterwards the student has to read and I ask him/her questions about the text. Than we go through the homework and decide something for the next lesson and one hour is too fast over. It is a very great experience!",
"Catherine (France): English, French, German
Teaching location: Nakano

I am from Munich, Germany. Since I learned Japanese culture at first hand, I have really started loving Japanese old traditions. Through the IHCWAY English lessons, I learned and understood that this Japanese tradition became possible due to Japanese people (like my students'), strong sprit toward truth, conscience and beauty. Because of my family background, I can speak perfect English, French and German. I also can speak Japanese without any problem. I would be more than happy to teach any of these three languages you wish.",
"Elena (France): French, Italian
Teaching location: Meguro

Elena is graceful, gentle and very dedicated. Students always make steady progress with their French/Italian skills. She is incredibly reliable and we consider her to be one of our best teachers.",
"Cami (Canada): English
Teaching location: Machida

I can see my students improving their English skills so rapidly! I came here from Canada with my fiancé due to his job. I really enjoy my life in Japan through meeting great students from IHCWAY and having lessons together. Most of my students' English levels are basic but I often lose my sense of time because I really enjoy teaching and it is pleasure to see my students improving their skills. Even after I go back to Canada, some of my students are planning to visit me. I am so excited and at the same time, I feel so honored. Japan will be the second home country for me!",
"Freddy (UK): English
Teaching location: Ginza

One on one-based lesson can encourage students' rapid improvement. I major in Japanese at Oxford University in Britain. I am so happy to teach English in Japan where I really love to stay. IHCWAY offer very relaxing atmosphere on one to one basis lessons for an hour, so students improve their English skills rapidly. It also always gives me a sense of satisfaction.",
"Michael (Canada): English, Italian, German
Teaching location: Tokyo

Michael speaks English, Italian and German. On top of his language talent, he is also nice and friendly. Students make great progress with their language skills and they enjoy his lessons. More and more students have been requesting his lessons.",
"Kate (Germany): English, German
Teaching location: Shimokitazawa

Fun lessons can let you improve your English skills! Each lesson is customized for each student on one to one basis and I can see all my students are steadily improving their English skills even though their speeds vary. I have my students write diary in English and correct grammar and phrases, and then read it together. I try to focus not only on writing ability but also conversational ability.",
"Ria (Canada): English
Teaching location: Shibuya

Like a caring sister, Ria is very dedicated to helping you learn, and you can tell she is a very warm-hearted person.",
"Tobi (Australia): English
Teaching location: Kichijoji

I came to Japan because I found an interest in Japanese culture and wanted broaden my perspective and knowledge by experiencing life in Japan whose culture is very different from ours. In order to understand one's culture, I assume that the best way would be talking to people in that country. That is why I became an English teacher. I am always impressed by Japanese high sensitivity through the experience teaching IHCWAY one to one basis lessons. It will be a real pleasure for me to teach you and help you improve your English skills.",
"Emil (Sweden): English
Teaching location: Tamachi

Emil is very modest, and has tremendous patience. His lessons are always very relaxed and comfortable for his students, and he carefully teaches each student according to his or her level of English. Students make great improvements through his lessons.",
"Edwin (Canada): English
Teaching location: Kitasenju

Edwin is Canadian, with a European and Japanese family background. Despite his youth, he is qualified as an English professor, and TESOL. He is very easy to get along with, very honest, and a great teacher.",
"Shannon (Australia): English
Teaching location: Shinjuku

I thoroughly enjoy my teaching of students using the IHCWAY system. On meeting a new student for the first time, together we establish what goals are to be met and any weak areas highlighted and noted. I believe the lesson contents should be both fun and informative. I teach students of all ages and levels and enjoy working with all of them; it’s a kind of mind connection. Lessons are usually split into 3 areas written homework, discuss past weeks activities, work, leisure etc and something of interest. I see most of the students on a weekly basis perhaps that’s because we are enjoying this learning experience together.",
"James (USA): English
Teaching location: Yokohama

IHCWAY is without a doubt, one of the most innovative and rewarding English teaching programs in Japan. In addition to being able to chose your own hours and lesson locations, IHCWAY has a great system in which they find students and match them to you based on several criteria. These include, the student’s English ability, their purpose of study, and their field of interest. The lessons are always interesting, and the curriculum is challenging, yet rewarding to teach. It is always a joy to see the progress of the students as each week passes. All in all, I highly recommend IHCWAY.)",
"Yoko (Japan): English
Teaching location: Roppongi

Being an English teacher is fun and has advantages. You will probably learn many things while teaching, and also you can use the same method when you yourself study another language! And above all you will feel happy and confident when your student's English is improving.",
"Gala (Italy): Italian
Teaching location: Ikebukuro

What I like about this job is that I get to meet all kinds of people with different backgrounds, occupations and lifestyles. They all want to learn the language but they all have different reasons. When I meet a student for the first time, I always ask why they want to learn and how they want to do the lesson. Some just want to talk, some want to concentrate on grammar and use texts and some don't have a clue so in that case I decide for them. Though the contents of the lessons are different, what I get all of my students to do is to keep a diary and I go over it with them at the beginning of each lesson. I guess that basically all you have to do is to be on time, make sure that the students are satisfied with what they are doing, let them know that they can improve their language skills if they try hard and do your best teaching them!"
